Mountain Expedition Week
Day One: Meeting and Camp Setup
Location: Los Andes and the Aconcagua Valley
We will start our adventure with a meeting in Los Andes, where we will get to know each other and discuss the details of our expedition. Then, we will head to the Aconcagua Valley, a beautiful but challenging area. Our final destination for the day will be the Rio Colorado Valley, a valley that is rarely visited by riders and almost impossible to access without a snowmobile.
Once we arrive, we will set up our camp for the first night. This will be an opportunity to get acquainted with the other members of the expedition and share our expectations for the week.
Day Two: Safety and Exploration
Activity: Preparation and First Run
Depending on the weather conditions, we will start by checking all the equipment necessary for our safety and the quality of the snow. This includes ski and snowboard gear, as well as safety devices such as avalanche transceivers (AVDs), shovels, and probes. Then, we will study the different lines and ride possibilities for the week.
We will head out for a ski or snowboard tour, learning and reviewing various freeride and mountain safety techniques. A first run will be done to kick off the week and get familiar with the terrain.
Day Three: Ski and Snowboard Touring
Activity: Skiing and Snowboarding
We will spend the day honing our skiing and snowboarding skills while touring, exploring different lines and improving our techniques. The day will be dedicated to practicing and implementing the safety techniques specific to freeriding.
Day Four: Exploration and Descent
Activity: Touring and Freeriding
The day will be devoted to exploring new faces and descending on skis and snowboards. We will continue to explore the valley, searching for the best slopes and the most suitable conditions for freeriding. The focus will be on discovery and adventure.
Day Five: Intensive Skiing and Snowboarding
Activity: Freeride Skiing and Snowboarding
We will spend the day skiing and snowboarding in freeride mode on the most challenging and exciting slopes we can find. This will be an intensive day of riding, testing our skills and endurance. We will have the opportunity to push our limits and take on new challenges.
Day Six: Free Riding and Relaxation
Activity: Skiing and Snowboarding
For our last day, we will enjoy a day of free riding, choosing our favorite slopes for one final descent. This will be the chance to put into practice everything we have learned over the week, while enjoying the beauty of the Rio Colorado Valley.
At the end of the day, we will return to camp to share our experiences and memories before concluding this expedition week. We will break down the camp and prepare for our return to Los Andes, with unforgettable memories and enhanced skills in skiing, snowboarding, and mountain safety.
